CSR Kerala Relief

CREDAI Coimbatore decided to follow CREDAI National and planned to contribute to the Kerala flood relief effort through CREDAI Kerala.

We received a list of commodities and materials which were required immediately from CREDAI Kerala. A Kit containing the said materials was procured from M/s Pazhamudhir, SrivariShrimat, Avinashi Road, Coimbatore.

The contents of the relief consisted of food, medicines and basic toiletries. The materials were targeted to those affected by the floods. The relief kits delivered were worth Rs. 3.4 lakhs. Additionally, medicines worth Rs. 0.60 lakhs were sent along. The total relief was worth Rs. 4 lakhs. We thank members for their generous contributions.

This Kit was transported to the office bearers of CREDAI Kerala at Cochin for further distribution to the affected areas. Apart from these kits we had also procured considerable amount of preventive medicine which was also sent.

Cyclone Gaja Report

CREDAI Coimbatore had arranged relief materials for the delta region affected by Gaja cyclone. The contents of the relief consisted of food and basic toiletries. The consignment contained a total of 250 kits. The materials were targeted towards this village which has 480+ families in and around Maangudi village. Credai Coimbatore’s contribution in the first consignment was for 250 families. The relief kits delivered were worth Rs.1 lakh. Materials had reached Maangudi village and the distribution works were completed. Food Bank India arranged volunteers to ensure that the kits reached the deserving.

Volunteers from Decathlon decided to clean Mankarai to Annaikatti and also Maruthamalai along with Forest dept, Special Task Force .

Credai, Coimbatore has sponsored them with white caps in order to beat the sun and also to improve the visibility of their presence to protect from the vehicle movement.
